A bomb threat targeting the Bulgarian Presidency was reported on Thursday morning, the presidential administration has confirmed. Staff in the building were temporarily evacuated but returned to their offices after a security inspection found no cause for concern.
The Ministry of Interior also received emails claiming that explosive devices had been planted at institutions in Sofia, Varna and Burgas. Police said that no suspicious objects had been found so far.
Earlier this month, a series of bomb threats was sent over several consecutive days to public institutions in nearly all of Bulgaria's regional centres.
