Bulgaria will present the Bulgarian language and culture in Tokyo

For the fourth consecutive year, Bulgaria will take part in the European Day of Languages initiative, which will be held in Tokyo on September 27. As part of the event, a lecture will introduce visitors to Bulgaria and its history.

Participants will also have the opportunity to learn more about the Bulgarian alphabet and write their names in Cyrillic, which, following Bulgaria’s accession to the European Union, became the third official script of the EU.

“Come and discover the beauty of the Bulgarian language and immerse yourself in the diversity of Europe’s languages and cultures!” reads the invitation from the Embassy of Bulgaria in Tokyo to everyone interested in learning more about the country’s culture and written heritage.
