Radio Bulgaria honours participants in “Lesson on Bulgaria” on first school day

At the beginning of the new school year, the Radio Bulgaria team sent gifts and certificates of appreciation to each of the Bulgarian schools abroad that took part in our “Lesson on Bulgaria” initiative.

For several months, students from 12 Bulgarian schools abroad who travelled around Bulgaria in 2025 as part of the Ministry of Education and Science’s national programme “Bulgaria - Educational Routes” presented us with lessons in patriotism through audio and video stories.

With the “Lesson on Bulgaria” initiative, our media outlet is marking 90 years since the Bulgarian public radio began its first broadcasts for audiences abroad.

The materials submitted by the students and their teachers and edited by the Radio Bulgaria team were published on our website and YouTube channel. Audio versions of the lessons were also broadcast as part of our “Bulgaria Today” programmes and “Radio Bulgaria Hour” on Hristo Botev programme.
